The Tu Es Belle Cabernet Franc Hailes from the acclaimed Chalk Hill AVA. Farm until physiologically mature and leafed accordingly to produce fruit that is ripe and without hints of pyrazine. The vineyard is planted in volcanic, whitish ash soils. These soils are well-drained, and rich in silica (quartzite) and volcanic ash deposits. Most interestingly about this Franc vineyard is the Quartzite soils, which are also often found within the gravel-rich vineyards of Bordeaux's Left Bank (such as in Pessac-Léognan and the Médoc), which help drive extreme vine stress, enhancing ripening through heat reflection, and imparting a distinct mineral-driven profile. These soils are generally nutrient-poor and free-draining, which forces vines to develop deep, extensive root systems, resulting in concentrated, structured, and long-lived wines The 2023 Cabernet Franc is (100% Cabernet Franc) The wine is dense with a ruby red color to purple hue.
