2018 Pinot Noir, Wohler Vineyard
This Pinot has a lovely crimson red hue, the wine opens with enticing aromas of ripe tree fruits, wild berries, cardamom, cinnamon, leather, and roasted nuts. Deep, dense, and captivating, the lavish flavors of cranberry, ripe cherry, blueberry and pomegranate are well-integrated with nuances of mocha, spice, and a kiss of oak. To add more complexity, the profile is layered with a velvety texture, bright acidity, supple tannins, firm structure, and a lingering finish. These factors help create a wine that is not only amiable and approachable when young, but also built to age.

2018 Pinot Noir, Wohler Vineyard

The 2021 Jenks Pinot Noir is beautifully colored crimson red hue, the wine expresses the pleasing aromatics we have come to love about this vineyard of ripe tree fruits, wild berries, fresh sage, lavender, cinnamon, forest floor, leather, and roasted nuts. This Pinot Noir continues its reputation with excessively rich, dense and captivating flavors of black raspberry, bright cherry, cherry cola, blueberry and pomegranate. The wine has layers of Asian spice, all wrapped with the framework of selective oak barrel. Adding to the complexity, the wine is profiled with a velvety texture, velvety tannins, firm structure, and a wonderfully long finish. Year after year this vineyard creates a wine that is not only consistent in profile but approachable when young and built to age. This wine is very reminiscent of the 2015 and 2016 vintages, which were spectacular drinkers a decade into aging.

2021 Pinot Noir, Jenks Vineyard

The 2022 Jenks Pinot Noir retains its beautifully dark crimson red hue. The 2022 might be the prettiest Jenks I have made to date. It is soft, while maintaining a big, round, and expressive texture. The wine expresses aromatics of strawberry and rhubarb pie, wild berries, lavender, cinnamon, cardamom, leather, and roasted nuts. This Pinot Noir carries on the tradition of its rich, dense, and alluring flavors of black raspberry, cherry, cherry cola, blueberry and pomegranate, while this year it seems to have an added expression of strawberry, licorice, and brazil nut, which is prominent on the nose. The 2022 Jenks is a velvet bomb, with super smooth tannins, beautiful structure, and a wonderfully long finish. I have been adding Pomard clone back into teh vineyard and his vineyard. The Jenks pinot is so consistent in profile and approachable, even when young. I just love it. I do believe this is the prettiest and most approachable Jenks I have made to date.

2022 Pinot Noir, Jenks Vineyard

The 2018 Indindoli Pinot comes from the vineyard I helped plant with Carmine Indindoli, my vineyard mentor, on Black Oak and Olivet Lane in 2007. Crafted from clones 115 and 667, it is a captivating expression of elegance and complexity. This Pinot shows Strawberry and Rhubard with hints of vanilla om the nose. Flavors of caramelized Rhubarb, clove and Asian spice linger on the velvety and silky texture. The wine is both complex and comforting, begging for the next sip.

2018 Pinot Noir, Indindoli Vineyard

The 2020 Indindoli Pinot comes from the front yard of Carmine Indindoli. This wine is a tribute to my friendship and the deep felt gratification I have for Carmine who continues to mentor me to this day. A combination of Swan, 667, and 115 clones, this vineyard was Carmine's personal project vineyard on his property on Vine School Road. I never had access to it because he used it for his wine. However, the year Carmine retired, he offered the fruit to me. To describe the wine as captivating would be an understatement. I intentionally made the wine to be on the bigger side of Pinot Noir. I have found that opening the bottle and giving it time is both appropriate and beneficial. This Pinot is an expression of me, my style of winemaking, where elegance intersects with complexity. This Pinot shows Dark Cherry and bright Cherry notes with loads of cola. Strawberry and Rhubarb extend into the midpalate with hints of stone, herb and earth slowly insinuating their way in. Flavors of caramelized Rhubarb, clove and Asian spice linger on the velvety and silky texture. The wine is complex and transforms as it opens.

2020 Pinot Noir, Indindoli Vineyard

The precious Pinot Noir vines at Jenks Vineyard are directly influenced by the classic combination of Goldridge soil and warm days, cool nights and foggy mornings leading up to harvest. These brilliant growing conditions allow the clusters to develop complex aromas and deep flavors. To highlight the special characteristic of the grapes and the site, we allow the natural traits of the vines shine in this new release. As the vineyard is gaining age, the maturity of the grapes are starting to truly expose themselves.
The 2023 Jenks wine is characteristic for its intensive aromas of ripe red fruits, Spices floral teas and baking spices such as cloves and cardamom. The 2023 delivers all of that. On the palate, the wine is plush, with soft and luscious tannins yet remains concentrated. The wine expresses robust flavors of black cherry, wild strawberry, red currants, and citrus zest, and a nuanced with toasty oak touch. This wine will continue to open for hours and deliver a structured, complex and beautiful mouthfeel with amazing depth of flavor. This pinot will age well for over a decade.
