2019 Summer Hill Cabernet Sauvignon RESERVE

The 2021 Ionnotti Cabernet Sauvignon is both expressive and tantalizing.  Starting with aromatics of dark berries, cherry, sweet tobacco notes and crushed dried herbs. On the pallet there are layers of dried cherries, sweet tobacco, hazelnut, sage and orange zest.  An enveloping mouthfeel coupled with mid pallet tannin and lots of personality give way to a richness of flavors.  Well integrated, full bodied and food friendly.

Rich and deep on the palate, the flavor profile is brimming with engaging notes of dark cherry, boysenberry, wild berries and layers of spice, tar, leather and graphite. Generous and full-bodied, and complimented with soft tannins, this wine has firm structure and a long, persistent finish. The end result is a wine that not only tastes great now, but worthy of aging in the cellar for more than a decade. Power, grace, and elegance are in every sip.

The 2020 Rutherford TADDEI Block does not disappoint.  Following in the footsteps of its older brothers, the vineyard continues to kick out great vintages. In a vintage that was very trying, this little gem stood out. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromatics that express raspberry, Bing cherry, leather, cigar and pencil lead. On the pallet, the wine is very consistent between vintages with copious amounts of cherry, crushed plum and leather with exceptionally soft tannins. The vineyard continues to produce fruit that possess rich flavors coupled with dusty elements and soft tannin.
